General Field Manager (GFM)
Job Type: Full-Time | Travel Required | Overnight Stays May Be Required

LTD Heating & Air is looking for a  General Field Manager (GFM) who can lead with expertise, uphold quality, and represent our company with professionalism in every customer’s home.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, solving problems in real time, and ensuring customer satisfaction through exceptional service and technical precision. As the GFM, you will oversee field operations, perform quality control inspections, and ensure our HVAC systems meet company standards for performance, safety, and compliance.

What You’ll Do Every Day

• Perform  quality control inspections on completed and ongoing HVAC installations and service jobs.
• Conduct  customer home visits to verify system performance, workmanship, and customer satisfaction.
• Lead daily or weekly  field team huddles to align schedules, priorities, and safety expectations.
• Ensure all technicians are properly equipped, trained, and following company procedures.
• Review job readiness—verify materials, tools, and vehicles are prepared before dispatch.
• Work closely with the  Operations Manager to manage scheduling, callouts, and coverage.
• Handle  on-site problem solving related to system performance, customer concerns, or installation issues.
• Provide  coaching and performance feedback to technicians and crew leads.
• Address  customer escalations or warranty-related issues and see them through to resolution.
• Maintain documentation and reporting through company systems
• Ensure compliance with company safety, quality, and efficiency standards.
• Travel regularly across North Carolina / South Carolina to perform inspections and support field operations.
  

You’re a Great Fit If You...

• Have  experience in HVAC installation, service, or quality control .
• Hold or are working toward an  HVAC license —  licensed HVAC professionals are strongly preferred.
• Possess  leadership experience and enjoy developing others to meet performance standards.
• Can communicate effectively with both customers and technicians.
• Are organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable using mobile and digital tools.
• Have strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Thrive in a  fast-paced, field-based role that changes day to day.
• Are flexible with  travel and overnight stays when required.
• Hold a  valid driver’s license and can pass a  background check and drug screening .
