Technical Writer III

Princeton, NJ 08540 Duration: 12+ Months

75% Conversational writing for assessments, managing assessment content 25% Instructional copy for web and mobile applications Collaborate with UX and UI Designers, Marketing, Research, Content Specialists, Producers and Assessment Development teams

Essential Skills:

• Communicate our brand’s story, with a design sensibility to envision how content will be presented or distributed in assessment content and delivery systems, web applications, infographics and multimedia presentations
• A firm understanding of user experience that includes planning for the creation, aggregation, delivery, and governance of useful, usable, and appropriate content in a product experience
• Writing friendly, familiar, grammatically correct copy for Grade 8 English and Math assessments
• Prior experience working in Agency, Creative, Marketing or Education environment
• Prior experience as Content Strategist, Content Specialist, Content writer, Copywriter, Instructional Designer, Teacher or similar preferred
• Experience working in collaborative team environments
• Consistent tone synchronized with Marketing and product needs
• Comfortable working with and maintaining authoring and style guides
• Excellent interpersonal, presentation and communication skills
• Ability to work across multiple teams and applications

Bonus Skills:

• Previous experience writing items (test questions)
• Prior experience with Learning Management Systems
• Lean Startup experience a plus
• Personality fit, a fun sense of humor and thick skin
• Open to constructive feedback and criticism
